FARMING METHOD

In the farming of our oysters we use an innovative system called “Long-Line”, which consists in a rope line or mother line where the suspended culturing system is anchored to the seabed and kept floating with buoys.

The farming units we use have the ideal diameter and are provided with lateral openings that allow the continuous flow of seawater and nutrients.

MarConil oysters are farmed in the open sea at a distance of 4 nautical miles from the coast. These waters have the sanitary qualification of “zone A”, the highest level in the farming of aquaculture species, which ensures the highest standards of food quality.

Our oysters do not require purification. The purity of the farming waters, the handling process and the packaging in an artisanal way under the strictest hygiene conditions ensure that our oysters reach our customers fresh from the sea.
